I want to share with you this week from 1 John 5:13. It reads "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life."  Why is this so important?  It is important because we are told that we can know that we have eternal life.  We do not have to guess or hope for eternal life, we can know.  We live in a world that is filled with uncertainty, many people are not sure who to trust or what to trust. I am telling you that you can trust God and His Word, I have been trusting God's Word for 37 years, and I have never been lied to by God or left alone.  John wants you and me to know for certain that we have eternal life, with God no guessing has to take place, you can know for certain. 
    I want you to know that you are loved by God (John 3:16) and that God wants you to spend eternity with Him in heaven (Romans 10:13).  John 3:16 tells us that God loves us, and in Romans 10:13 we are told that by calling on the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ), will get us saved (will give us eternal life).  Where are you at today?  God loves you, have you accepted Him.
